This policy summarises how information you send us through dlc.law is processed, who it is shared with and how long it is kept.

Who processes your data?
The controller of personal data processed on dlc.law is:
DLC Law Firm
Address: Windowist Tower, Eski Büyükdere Caddesi No:26/157 Kat:19, 34467 Maslak-Sarıyer, İstanbul
Phone: +90 212 332 0 352
E-mail: info@dlc.law
What do we collect?
You do not need to provide any information simply to read the site. Data is collected in two ways:
1) Contact and career form
When you complete the form we process the name, e-mail address, phone number, subject (for a career application, the position applied for) and message you provide. Your IP address, the time of submission and the address of the page you submitted from are also recorded, in order to prevent unsolicited submissions and to evidence the submission.
2) Server access logs
The server keeps standard logs containing the IP address, date and time, requested address and browser information for each request.
There are no cookies, visitor analytics, profiling or automated decision-making on this site; see the Cookie Policy for details.
An important note about your message
Contacting us through the form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Such a relationship arises only once an engagement agreement is signed following a mutual assessment. Please therefore describe your matter in general terms and do not send case details, document contents or third parties’ personal data in your first message.
That said, information you send us is treated as covered by the duty of professional secrecy under the Turkish Attorneys’ Act and professional rules, even if no engagement follows, and is not shared with third parties.
Why do we use it?
- To assess your request, respond to you and conduct the initial discussion,
- To run a conflict-of-interest check,
- To carry out pre-engagement processes,
- To evaluate job applications,
- To prevent misuse of the form and to keep the site secure.
Your data is not used for marketing, is not sold, and is not shared with advertising networks.
Who do we share it with?
Form submissions reach only the attorneys and staff who will assess your request. Beyond that, data is processed through the following infrastructure:
- Hosting: The site and form records are kept on our servers located in Türkiye.
- E-mail: Form notifications are delivered to our corporate e-mail infrastructure (Microsoft 365), which may also process data in data centres outside Türkiye.
Information may also be shared with judicial and administrative authorities to the extent required by law upon a duly made request, without prejudice to the attorney’s duty of secrecy.
How long do we keep it?
- Initial enquiries that do not proceed: 2 years from conclusion of the request.
- Career applications: 1 year from the application date.
- Matters that become engagements: The periods required by the Attorneys’ Act art. 39 and related legislation — at least 3 years from the end of the matter.
- Server access logs: No more than 12 months.
Once the period expires, data is erased, destroyed or anonymised.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions travel over an encrypted connection. Form records are stored in a private directory that is not reachable from the web and can be read only on the server. A per-IP submission limit and a hidden-field (honeypot) check guard against misuse.
Your rights
Your rights regarding your personal data and how to exercise them are set out in the Data Protection Notice. You may write to info@dlc.law with any request.
Changes
This policy is updated whenever our processing activities or the applicable legislation change; the current version is always published on this page.
